Winter Newsletter available
Posted 08 Jan 2009The PUEF Winter Newsletter is now available
PUEF is a membership based organisation for everybody with or working with 0-8 year olds in the city of Portsmouth.
Our aim is to raise awareness, quality of service provision and to be a voice to influence future policy.
To achieve this we provide:
opportunities for training, networking and exchange of information on current issues via newsletter, directory, meetings, invited speakers and events.
Portsmouth Under Eights Forum has been established since 1982, and is run by a paid part time Project Co-ordinator, who is managed by a Voluntary Committee.
Membership of the forum gives an opportunity to share information with people of similar interests.
A link is formed between local groups and national agencies in order to highlight the needs and gaps in services and to help reduce duplication of services.
We provide opportunities to initiate and develop projects of special interest by contributing to the planning of services for families with young children at local, regional and national levels.
Members' views and interests are represented through multi-agency consultation by members of the PUEF Committee.
